Welcome to the Heathers Guest House in York, we are AA Four star guest accommodation located conveniently on the main York-Edinburgh road, north of the York city centre. "The Heathers" offers a relaxing environment after visiting the many attractions of York.
Originally constructed in the 1930’s, the house is now a large detached home, situated mid-way between the A1237 ring-road north of York and the city centre, just over one mile to the City Walls and a mile from the ring-road.
Facilities:
All our bedrooms are en-suite or with private bathroom; and furnished to a high standard. We use designer fabrics and individually selected bed linen, chosen with an eye to detail, comfort and quality, to ensure a relaxing and enjoyable stay.
Lying well back from the road, rooms at the front overlook Clifton Ings, whilst those at the back enjoy our large, peaceful garden - available for guests use on request.
All rooms have their own washing and shaving facilities, and a colour television. Tea and coffee-making facilities are available in all rooms - experiment with new flavours using the range of tea, fruit and herbal blends that we supply.
For those on holiday - each room contains the "AA Guide to York" - the best guide we have been able to find. For our business visitors - our proximity to the business "parks" north of York is a major advantage.
Leisure Facilities:
Clifton Moor nearby supplies Multi-Screen Cinemas; Health and Fitness Facilities and Ten-Pin Bowling.
For those not left too tired by visiting York’s many attractions, York also has a number of theatre/concert venues offering a wide choice of entertainment throughout the year.
Policies & Payment:
To confirm a reservation, we require details of a major Credit Card in lieu of a deposit (VISA; M/Card; Amex; which may be sent via our web-site by clicking the "Secure Booking" link at the very top of each page) - this will NOT be charged at this time.
In the event of cancellation or "non-appearance" following Yorkshire Tourist Board guidelines, guests will be charged two-thirds of the agreed room rate, for each booked night that rooms remain empty. We strongly suggest guests obtain Cancellation Insurance to cover this eventuality. Credit cards will also be held liable for any damage caused to the premises.
Our tariffs assume payment in cash, should you choose to pay the final account by Cheque or Credit Card, we add a surcharge to cover the banking and commission costs involved - 0.45p for cheques and 4½% for credit cards.
