Beechlands Bed and Breakfast is an Edwardian house in Sleights near Whitby. There is an attractive garden to sit in and easy on street free parking. We offer non-smoking rooms, with complimentary hostess tray and colour TV. Our substantial breakfast includes fruit juice, various cereals, full English breakfast using fresh local products, plentiful tea or coffee and toast with a choice of preserves. We also offer a choice of dishes including vegetarian, vegan and diabetic options.

As we are situated on the edge of the North Yorkshire Moors it is an ideal base to visit the many interesting places in the area. Whitby is only 10 minutes drive, where you can visit the Abbey with its glorious views over the town. Other interesting places to visit are Robin Hood’s Bay, Runswick Bay and Staithes with their smuggler’s cottages perched on the cliffs. Inland there is the beauty of the moors to explore with attractive villages - Goathland (Aidensfield), Grosmont, Lealholme, Danby and many more. There is a bus stop and train station 5 minutes walk from the house, where there are regular services to Whitby, York and Middlesbrough. The North Yorkshire Moors Steam Railway comes through Sleights on it’s way into Whitby. The scenic journey by steam train from Whitby to Pickering is a wonderful day out, stopping at several stations along the way.
