The Cottage
Hononton Cottage is a sixteenth Centry Grade II listed farmhouse typical of the Kentish Weald, tile hung with a wealth of exposed oak beams throughout and inglenook fireplaces. Situated about a mile from the centre of the picturesque village of Brenchley at the end of a quiet lane and surrounded by apple orchards.
Accommodation
The two rooms are both double aspect and have been sympathetically modernised. Willowpit is on the ground floor with its own entrance, ideal for the less mobile, has twin beds and en suite bathroom with shower over. You can relax on the settee and admire the views of the wood, garden and orchard.
Furnace Pond is on the first-floor with a double bed and its own large en-suite shower. This is a comfortable room with outstanding views of the orchards, Furnace Pond Horsmonden and Goudhurst with its prominent church tower on the horizon. In the spring the hillsides are a sea of soft pink apple blossom. The rooms have hospitality trays, colour TV, radio/CD player hairdryer and ironing board. Willowpit also has a small fridge.
Breakfast
Breakfast is served in the heavily beamed dining rooms at the oak refectory table where we serve traditional cooked, continental and healthy fare. Fresh produce is sourced from local suppliers and growers wherever possible and all preserve are home made.
