Howfield Manor Hotel is a family-run independent hotel with fifteen bedrooms. Just two miles from the World Heritage Site of Canterbury, Howfield is set in five acres of gardens in the Stour Valley just beneath the Kent Downs.

The Manor at Howfield was created in 1182, and a small part of the building where the restaurant is situated is thought to date back to around 1350. It has been a family home for centuries, and has only relatively recently become a hotel. Its charm and lack of pretension, friendliness and a setting within beautiful grounds on the edge of country will enchant and delight you.

Seasonal menus based on fresh local produce are imaginative and tempting, and with a great wine list too, you may find you need to stay the night in one of Howfield's cosy and comfortable bedrooms!
